Governance

The Poseidon Principles Association is governed by a set of Governance Rules.

The Poseidon Principles Association is the governing body of the Poseidon Principles which is responsible for the management, administration and development of the Principles. Signatories to the Poseidon Principles automatically become members of the Poseidon Principles Association.

The Steering Committee coordinates the Association and Principles on behalf of its members. The Governance Rules detail the scope of the roles of the Steering Committee, Chair, and Vice Chair and how representatives are nominated and appointed. The current members of the Steering Committee are:

The Secretariat maintains the day-to-day functions of the Association and is the first point of contact for existing and prospective members. The Secretariat is provided by the Global Maritime Forum.

The technical expertise needed for the Principles to remain updated and accurate has been provided by CE Delft and may include other organisations in the future and when needed.
